02 1500 4x4...when i shut the hood tonight after looking at the engine I thought i didnt close the hood all the way so I opened the hood again and shut it a little harder and i heard something fall.i looked under the truck and it seems the hood latch broke.im not sure if something just came lose or a part broke off.the latch is there and then a long skinny rod and then a short rod on the other side about as long as a finger and like i said the latch.does the latch just hook onto something or you think some part snapped off?now i cant open my hood.is there anything online that would show me how this latch goes back on?thanks

 

I'm guessing the FSM which can be downloaded from weedahoe's sig if he has it

 

I took another look the rod isnt connected to the latch anymore its just hanging there.where does the rod attach to the latch?seems odd it came un hooked from it.is there a way to open the hood without the hood latch?
