Default Signal light trouble

2007 Dodge 1500 Laramie

When I turn on my left signal light sometimes the right one comes on instead could this be a relay?

Started once in a while but is becoming more frequent

do a little looking into the multi function switch. This is often the source of these sort of troubles. Since your truck is a 2007 it doesn't use relays, it all goes through the TIPM (totally integrated power module).

Sounds like your multi-function switch is going bad. Dodge has voluntarily offered to replace faulty switches up to 100,000 miles. You should have received a notice in the mail about a year ago. Since it is a safety issue, you should at least bring it to a dealership, if you are below 100k, they should replace it free of charge. I wouldn't wait too long, because that switch also controls Hi beams and wipers/wash. Not to mention, if you aren't paying attention to the dash, you may just cause an accident.

This recall only applies to the 1ton

I asked about mine dealer toldme I was on my own doesn't sound hard to do myself
Disconnect the battery wait 10 mins for air bag to deenergize then pop two covers and remove two screws then replace

Sounds easy have I left anything out?
