so i towed a too heavy load for too far and sprung my springs in the rear.....and am looking for replacements.

specs: 04 ram Hemi QC 4X4. rest of it is more or less bone stock. CAI/Exhaust, stock wheels and tire size.

lift? prolly not. lower...heck no! what are your guys opinions and recommendations to replace me rear leaf springs?

I'd try a wrecking yard first

 

Stock replacement.

 

I would go down to your local suspension shop and have them get ya a new set... Maybe throw in an overload spring or helper.. That way it doesnt happen again in the future..

i did find "roadmaster active suspension" (RAS). saw some really good reviews on various forums......anyone with experience in them? i cant tell from the ad if they are an add-on to existing springs or if its a complete set up.

 

maybe go to a brake and spring shop and get them re-arched then add rear air bags for when your towing so you don't lose the stock ride

 

What do they look like when there sacked out? Mine kinda are starting to look like they want to "W" in the middle. I suspect since I dragged a toy hauler for a season.

 

like a w shape. theres no mistaking it on my truck. it was from one monster load hauled about 600 miles. as soon as i took the trailer off the truck did not come back up to full height, headlights are off a bit, and ride is not as good.

im thinking about changing the shocks too as im sure they have had their share of abuse now too....well see how far the xmas money goes! lol

 

Yea I would definitely just go for OEM replacements which should come with an overload spring like someone mentioned. And then go with air bags for the rear. They'll save the springs in the future
