Default 2006 2500 Hemi engine swap to 2004 1500 Hemi?

Is it possible? I found the engine and it only had 93k miles!...... Can I reuse my old sensors and harnesses on the new engine?

i wouldn't **** with it i would personally just buy a new one from the factory. because that motor you throw in with 93k could easily go out soon after you put it in

I would say no because the 06 Hemi has the MDS system in it where as your 04 didn't and that's a bunch of extra computer stuff that your 04 wouldn't pick up on

Put your sensors on it, compare intake manifolds. If it really is a 2500 engine then no MDS crap to worry about.

You think the electronics on them are different? I know for sure Vin 2s are a little different but, they have the same Vin and I doubt Dodge would have made changes to the HD series. ..

you should be fine just take off every thing that does not match on the 06 hemi, and replace with the 04 motor parts.
there should not be much, they did do major config changes til 09.
