Default Sorry for the double post

Chrysler dealer parts department said short blocks are the same long blocks have something slightly different.... I'm assuming the Intake manifold and plug wire change to coils.....

I wonder if I should take take this leap....... 2006 2500 Vin D motor..... into a 2004 1500 Vin D....
this sounds fishy, i would look for another motor

Short blocks have no heads and up---- IE Block and Rotating assembly
Long Blocks are almost a complete motor

It's because I had to argue them into selking me the engine.... I asked her if she had knowledge of the Vin D Hemis... She had said "this black box in front of me knows more than we both do and I've been doing this for a long time" So I knew she was frustrated and then I broke down into specific details about the engine...

It was funny because she claimed they have different crank tooths...... well the short blocks the same and the long blocks are identical until the intake and coils vs pre-06 plug wires.

Excuse the spelling mistakes doing most of this from my phone

I dont see why it wouldnt work. You can take the 06 valve covers and coils off and sell them and put your original 04 coils/VCs on the 06 heads

If I didn't have to sign the waiver I'd buy it..... but I'm just goin to pick up an 04 with 155k miles temporarily....... I just read tons of horible reviews about them that there parts are 50/50 and horrible customer service.

Well..... tax season.... I'm going hunting for a 392 short block
