Default Heated Mirrors. 04' 2500

So on my 04' 2500 4x4 hemi I have non towing heated mirrors. Now that its zero outside where I live I have noticed that the driver's side mirror doesnt defrost.

So being inexperienced with this I'm wondering a few things.

1) is this common for these to fail?

2) is there an element or something inside that you can replace? Or does the whole mirror need to be replaced?

I didnt bother to check the fuse because the passenger side works.

BTW......How much does a set of heated tow mirrors cost and is it worth getting them used?

I have a used set off an o4 1500. Power heated if you decide to replace. Haven't heard many problems with mirror heat.

not common for them to fail, its just an element inside the mirror and not sure about replacing just the element I think you may be stuck replacing the whole mirror, but i would be checking fuses, wiring first.
