Default What's best/easier? lower ball joints

Is it easier to remove and press in new ball joints or replace the lower control arm with good ball joints already in?
Price wise it'll be about the same.

Other option is pulling mine of and taking into a machine shop and having them pressed in/out for $30 each side.
Just trying to avoid the headache that comes with this job.

Just rent a ball joint press and press them out..thats a lot easier than removing the lower control arm..when I did mine I pounded them baby's out..
walk in the park..Make sure you have that lower arm on a secure stand so when you separate that knuckle you don't get injured.Mines a 4x4 with struts I don't know if you have the same or torsion bar..

you can rent a ball joint press at autozone and get 100% of the rent money back when you return it.

Well my current project (water pump) has be a huge challenge, but the replacement was the biggest headache with bad bolt holes for the Tstat.
How do the lower ball joints compare to my current project?

When I rebuilt my front end and replaced EVERYTHING, I rented the tools from a local auto parts store. There are plenty of vids on YouTube to show you how. Pic the right size cups and get them lined up on the LCA and push out the BJ. Its not hard. Getting it in means it has to go in straight and perfect or it wont work
