A couple of years ago, the rear up/down adjustment on my power driver seat quit working. It still buzzes when I activate it, but the seat doesn't move up or down. Fortunately the seat was where I like it when it happened so I have never bothered to try and fix it. However, my son will be driving it soon and he hasn't quite grown to my size yet. Also, my wife and daughter have difficulty with it on the rare occasions that they may need to drive it.

Bottom line, I want to try and fix it. Has anyone tackled this, successfully, without having to buy and do a total replacement? I'm not sure where to start. Do I just unbolt the seat from the floor, turn it over and start piddling around? I suspect there is a gear that is stripped or broken.
