Default Bluetooth for Infinity stereo?

Hi, new member here. My husband bought me a Parrot handsfree device for my 2008 2500, it has the infinity system in it. We tried to install it with the purchased wiring harness, only to find out it is not compatible with my stereo system. Does anyone have any suggestions on bluetooth devices they have installed on their truck? Any suggestions are welcome. Thanks!

So your truck doesn't already have the Uconnect built into it? Also, which Parrot device did you get?

Which Parrot system did you get?
I have in the past when Working with an amplified stereo, I added a small speaker up under the dash for the audio from the aftermarket BT car kit. You can find an external speaker (like an enclosed CB speaker) at radio shack & other electronic supply store.

MyGig head unit with Lockpick. Totally compatible, plugs in, Lockpick unlocks all the features, all you need is to change the center bezel. MyGig has 30gb HD, some have Nav, most are bluetooth equipped.

Thanks everyone. No, it does not have a uconnect, I wish... lol I think I will try the additional speaker under the dash. I had everything else working on the unit (which is a Parrot CK3X00) but the sound. I appreciate everyones input!

I think that the small enclosed speaker will be your best bet. You might have to try a couple locations to find the best for your listening pleasure.

Perhaps, however he already has the Parrot kit and has performed the installation so with the harness being cut into, he may not be able to return it for 100% refund. So adding a small enclosed speaker at this point will get his kit working.

I do have the parrot unit, but I can return it for a full refund, nothing has been cut into wiring wise. Does anyone have a link for the MyGig head unit? When I search, I find tons of posts about it but no where to buy one, or even look at it. It's been so damn cold I haven't done anything else about the bluetooth yet, other than remove the parrot device. lol

I've done hundreds of these installs.... you purchased the wrong harness for it:

Try this website.

http://www.quickconnectproducts.com/...ind.php?id=176

AND READ THE NOTE BELOW THE PICTURE, some Infinity systems have a different harness than others for whatever reason.

You might need to run a wire to an ignition switched power source as well so be prepared for that.

Just in-case you miss the note:

Includes QC-REV harness extensions for amplified vehicles. On certain 2007+ vehicles, your vehicle may use the newer QCChJ-2R style plug. We suggest pulling your radio to check the plugs before ordering. The QCChJ-1R plug is perfectly rectangular as shown above. The QCChJ-2R plug has 2 beveled corners. Look up the 2009 Dodge Journey in the selection boxes at left to see a close up of this beveled connector and order that style if your plugs have the bevels. Send us a picture of your plugs if you have any questions.
You can PM me if you have any more questions.

As for audio not working but connectivity working, that is usually because it is missing an ignition switched power source or the speaker connection is not 100%.... if you end up with Audio on the wrong speakers it usually means the harness isn't the right one.
