Figured I have some loose (if not, broken) bolts on the exhaust manifold. They are pretty rusty. I am in the middle of doing head gaskets on another vehicle and do not have the time/money to replace or upgrade right now. Anyone think it wise to crack the bolts then retorque to spec? Or is it just better to leave it alone for a while? I have a few minutes this afternoon.

I'm probably 98% sure they are broken. With that being said you will have to buy new bolts which cost $4 dollars a piece from the dealer I think was what I paid for them. I can also almost guarantee that it will be the top left bolt on your passenger side.

If they are rusty I would not re-torque them. When you put new bolts in or change manifolds to headers and use new bolts you are to re-torque them

OK, kinda what I was thinking. I will spend the next couple months saving/convincing SWMBO it's broke and can't be fixed without headers....
