Default 2007 Dodge ram 1500 4.7l shifting issues

I have been aggravated with this issue since I bought the truck brand new in 2007. However now it seems to have gotten worse. My transmission (545rfe) constantly up shifts and down shift while driving around 35-55mph.

Sometimes I will put the tow/ haul mode on and that helps a bit but it still doesn't smooth shifting.

In April I took it to the local dealership and they said it was all in factory parameters. I just change my trans filters and changed the fluid. no change

I have no modifications except a leveling kit and 305/55/20 nittos.

Will a tuner be able to eliminate the constant shifting and smooth it out?

Thanks in advanced!

I posted this a few months ago with no response. Anyone have any ideas? I will try to link a video of the trucks rpms while driving. It just seems like the truck can never find a gear it likes.

Thanks

Michael,

When you went to your local dealer did you test drove the vehicle with the mechanic to point out your specific concern. That way they can advise if there is a problem or not with the vehicle and the hard shift you are experiencing.

PM me if you have any questions.
