Default Got a solenoid problem. Need help please

Well heres my story, truck runs great as of right now. Its an 02 1500 4.7. But a few weeks ago, when i first started it in the morning it shifted slow then cel came on. I pulled the code and it was p700. I knew that was a generic code, so i brought it to the shop. They pulled p0218 and p0863. My immediate thought was solenoid and the shop eventually seconded it. Sound right? How hard is it to change out? Im guessing drop the pan, and filters, and its behind the valve body? Anything crazy i need to know? Anybody got pics? And last question, and most important, do you need to reprogram the tranny after the new one is in? Ive heard mix decisions and i need a def answer cause i dont have a programmer?

I'm no expert, but I think you are right. You should be able to discover what you need to know from these two DIYs:
DirtyDog's tranny flush. I've done a similar method on a Ford Taurus. https://dodgeforum.com/forum/3rd-gen...ion-flush.html

and Dirty John's Transgo install. What you are really interested in doesn't start until step 14, I think. https://dodgeforum.com/forum/3rd-gen...-tutorial.html

[edit] Forget the megaupload links. I tried it and the Feds are after them... Might google search for the documents.

no need to reprogram you should remove the battery cable while doing it though and that will reset the computer into relearn mode.. Should take care of the problems you are having.
