My dad's 02 has 12 3k on it and it burns ZERO oil. Just gets dirty.

So its been 1,000 miles since i started the thread and just checked to see a little over .5 qt Low. I will change the PCV in the morning and report back in a couple days after the next 1k miles to see if it was a bad pcv or just the burning under acceleration.

What color was the smoke? Pretty much any time you punch it, you'll get smoke. More often, it's just unburned fuel.

Post 2008 Dodge Ram 1500 4.7 flex Blue smoke

have 230k on the truck, smokes heavily after oil changes, and continues until about 500 miles then its really light. Thinking a PCV valve may be leaking or possible the vavle stem seals. Any ideas, does better after running the E85 fuel.
