I was looking in to buying a dash cover. I want to buy one with some sort of carpet on it. I heard that the carpet ones leaked glue on the dash. Is this true? Any info is Appreciated

Just get a regular carpet cover at your local auto parts store. Mine was pre molded to the dash and doesn't even need to be attached. Came with velcro fasteners I just threw away.

It'll help block the UV from drying out the plastic.

i read somewhere that this guy was arguing with an engineer that said he designed most of the 3rd gens interior, and the engineer swore up and down that the plastic doesnt dry out and its a problem with the contours of the dash. i call BS. how do you explain it breaking into pieces when you touch it after it's cracked.

anyway, as for a dash cover, i wouldnt mess with one, i had one in my 96 and the dash still cracked. id recommend using an interior polish/shine. i use turtle wax (dont laugh) fresh shine protectant.

a buddy of mine's been using it on his 2nd gen for a while now and his dash looks like new. ive been using it about every 3 weeks on mine and it seems to keep it looking brand new and shiny. only $3.50 for a 12oz bottle

if you live up north, i'd use it less. i only use it so often because it gets hotter than desert **** here in florida.
