Default JBA Headers - Gasket

Just ordered the JBA shorty headers for my 2008 Ram 1500 5.7L. I've read where folks are suggesting going with OEM Mopar gaskets. When I talked with the rep at Summit Racing he suggested using the gaskets they provide.

Any thoughts / experience on which to use and why ?

Most aftermarket gaskets leak from what I've seen. The OEM ones fit better.

Here is what I would do personally.

Option 1) Copper Gaskets - They are expensive but they are awesome and seal tight

Option 2) OEM Gasket w/ Copper Spray on both sides

Option 3) OEM Gasket

Oh and just a heads up... JEGS Associates will ALWAYS suggest their products over OEM, it doesn't mean they are better than OEM...

If you retorque the bolts as suggested after a few thousand miles, they will all work. OEM gaskets are a better quality than most aftermarket gaskets. I retorqued the bolts on my truck twice, after I installed my BBK shortys and so far no problems with the aftermarket gaskets
