Default Random Rear Squeak

I have a 2005 Dodge 1500 quad Cab that has started having a random squeak coming from the back part of the truck. I was going down the road and I heard a squeak that sounded like a windshield wiper sounds when it squeaks. Did it once then about 5 minutes later did it again and so on. Just does it randomly. I rolled down the window as I drove and could here it randomly as I drove except it was 10x as loud when it did it with the window down. Not sure where to start looking.

I had a problem with my u-joint in the back before. It would squeek but it sounded like ppl banging hard on a bed. It was a relatively inexpensive fix if I recall correctly.

U-Joints were replaced about 6 months ago. Would they just squeak one time then stop squeaking or would they do it all the time?

They started off as an on and off thing but as time passed the problem became constant. I figured I'd drop my two cents from personal experience. Hopefully someone with more knowledge can help you out!

My tail gate on my 04 squeaks just loud enough to hear when the sliding back window is open. Really annoying, and I can stop it with some grease on the rubber, but it needs to be re-done occasionally. I can test mine by grabbing the tailgate and giving it a few push and pulls, it will make the squeaking.

check your rear shocks where they mount to the frame. my right rear squeaks and it drives me nuts. i occasionally load it full of grease and it'll stop for a couple months.

You might also check the parking brake shoes inside the rear rotors. Sometimes they fall apart and drag the rotor causing noises.

Mine has been doing this randomly lately also. Usually when I pull into my driveway. At about a 10 degree incline going pretty slow speed

My rear shackles used to squeak from time to time.
