Default Lift kits/Body Lifts and tire sizes?

With my 2004 Dodge Ram 1500, I was looking at getting it higher off the ground but Im stuck at either Lift kit or Body lift. I dont know which would look better at the same time last longer and more dependable. Also Im not sure what tire size to go with either. I dont want it ridiculously big. I was thinking of either a 5'' lift kit or 3'' body lift. Any suggestions or ideas?
Thanks for any of the help!

Well since it's a 4x4 you're cheapest route if you only want looks would be the crank the torsion bars to level out the truck (free to crank, just need an alignment after) and then add a body lift which is around 250-350 (That will be 5" of front lift and 3 in the rear). Or you can get a 5" lift kit (Same thing, 5 front and 3 rear). The advantage to the lift kit is you'll get more heavy duty parts in your front end which would cut down on front end maintenance but the down side is the cost of it (Well over $1000 for a decent kit plus install).

In a '04 Dodge 1500 4x4 when you add a 4 inch body lift what else would you need? Do yo need to do any thing to the drive train. I am a young Dodge driver and would like an aggressive truck to take to school. any help would be great.
