Plug in your oem halogen bulb or put a volt meter on your fog plugs and try again. Make sure your head lights aren't on High Beams because the fogs will turn off when highs are on.

If you have power to oem bulbs try flipping the input plug to your ballast. If its installed backwards it won't give any power to the bulbs.

Turn the plug around that goes into the ballast. Chrysler is backwards from everyone else.

Just so everyone knows....The TIPM doesnt control or monitor the foglights which is why nobody ever gets the flicker with fogs. newer 09+ may be a diff story, but for 06-08..not controlled.

I would NOT put a bigger fuse in. the fuse is there to protect the wiring and circuit from damage. Putting a bigger fuse will allow the wire to heat up from excess current and could either melt it or cause a fire.

OK, so sounds like your ballasts have significant start-up amperage draw. i would HIGHLY suggest installing a relay harness. this will use your foglight switch to turn them on, but will draw power directly from your battery and completely bypass those burnt fuses.
Excessive high start up current scorches every contact within the circuit and will cause your fogs to stop working eventually.
Not all ballasts draw the same amount at start-up. Also, not all ballasts draw clean power at start-up. i guess you have the pick of the litter that causes issue's. :-( it's the brand of ballast btw, not a bad batch you have so swapping them for same brand wont change a thing.

Wiring wont burn up right away. It slowly heats up and then suddenly catches fire IF there is a constant draw of current. Lucky for you the constant draw isnt the same after warm up as it is when first turned on. Its still not advisable to put a larger fuse in place when a proper one is in place. You didnt say you had a harness and I expected that you were talking about factory fuse box, so the wiring harness is probably suitable for 20Afuse to begin with...

I already told you why the fuses were popping You must not understand electricity/electronics. Using a battery harness has nothing to do with why you were popping the fuses.

When you first turn on your HID lights, the ballasts fire at 25,000Volts to warm up the bulbs. This draws very high current(12-20A depending on brand) for the first 15-20sec. Once the bulb warms up, the "in-rush" current subsides and now your back down to 4-5A which is normal.

Your problem is that you are installing 55W system on a fog light system that is designed for 35W lights...

Another issue is that the Ballasts you are installing are likely made in china and are garbage to begin with, but I can't confirm that so we'll just leave it at that.

DirtyDog has stated why you should not put a bigger fuse in there, and he is 100% right on in that regard.

If you want to put a fuse on that system then what I suggest is to rewire them so that the OEM fog light wiring triggers a relay that will allow current to pass through NEW wiring from the battery to your Ballasts. (that is the simple explanation)

Are you even using a Relay harness, or a relay at all? If not then that is also 100% your problem.

If you didn't use a relay or relay harness for your headlights I would also be worried about your multifunction switch/head light switch as the high current that is being drawn when you turn the headlights on will slowly damage the wiring and the switch.

My suggestion to you is that you return that HID kit to where you got it form and purchase a better HID kit from a reputable dealer like The Retrofit Source... or if you want to cheap out and go with a brand in between the DDM and The Retrofit Source, you can go to HIDExtra.

Ultimately it is your call, I am just giving you my opinion as an MECP certified technician, and my previous experience with installing *)+ HID Kits....

Information about setup
since having issues ive gotten everything to work with the 20a fuse instead of 15a... however after all of your concerns i went out bought some more 15a and put the 15a in and it worked!
