I'm not sure if there is any lift out there besides a body lift that doesn't cause stress on some of your front end parts... mainly because a lift is soon followed by bigger tires and thats is what actually causes the problems. I have a 3 in level kit on the front of my truck and I have replaced the steering assembly and now I think my ball joints are going... but again that is certainly partly due to the tires.
