Hey all! New guy here and I got a quick question.

I have an '05 QC HEMI 2WD and couldn't help but notice that in park and neutral
there seems to be a fuel shut-off/rev-limiter at around 3000rpm. Was just wondering
if there issomething I can do about it, or do the programmers take care of this?

Mine stops at 4,000rpms...I guess the factory does that so you don't blow the engine. My Hypertech didnt change it either...it only changes the rev limiter when its in drive, but I like mine where it is now! I don't want to blow mine up.

 

Yeah, all about protection... I don't think theres really anyway to get rid of it.

The 2002s don't have it, though its not a great idea to rev high often without a load on the engine anyhow.

 

What is the red line in drive? It isn't marked on my '05.

 

The 4.7 is rev limited to 6000rpm, and I had thought the 5.7 was the same though from what I seen apparently its 6200rpm for the hemi.

 

Redline on a stock 05 HEMI is 5800rpm. And yes the Superchips tuner takes care of that. (adjustable)
