you never answered if this was hand calculated MPG or the numbers on the overhead display...

If it burns on heavy acceleration and after sitting idle for a while, you may have blown out a plenum or intake gasket, ive never been into a 4.7's intake before but on any V8 there is a chance of blowing an intake gasket and burning oil due to it. Its common on the older magnum 318's and 360's. Blowing an intake gasket could cause bad mileage depending on where its blown.

Hand calculated... Mileage tracked via gps to make sure odometer was not wrong.. No overhead console for me... hell no power windows either... lol


Ill run through another tank of gas before I get home so well have another mpg average before too long.
