Default Air bag lift help! 04 ram 1500

I have been looking for a lift kit for my 2004 Dodge Ram 1500 4wd.I've looked at different suspension lifts but I found a universal air bag kit for sale on craigslist for 700 brand new it says it lifts from 4-9 inches and is made by Viair. Here is the link to the ad.

My question is will this work on my truck that has stock suspension? Are there any other modifications that need to be made along with the kit. I don't tow or offroad so this is juat for looks. The guy selling it said he was going to put it on his 03 f150 and his brother was going to put it on his 78 ram charger but neither ended up using it. So what are the pros and cons of a kit like this be? Will it lift the truck as tall as a suspension lift? What would install be Like compared to a suspension lift? Cheaper or more expensive? Thanks a bunch for any type of help!

Also how would this kit be on my CV's? Would it keep them at a stock angle or put them at a severe angle? I had the torsion bars cranked for a few hundred miles and ruined on so that's the last thing i want to do is ruin it again. Thanks again

I'd pass on it if I were you. For $700 you could buy some sort of kit that is actually made for your truck. Besides if him,his brother, second cousin, whatever " was" going to use it. There's probably something either missing/broken.

I agree with rtmtrrdr.... buy a kit that is made specifically for your truck... you don't want to have to make special mounting brackets and everything and hope it works right...

just to add to everyone else, lifting a truck at all is always gonna stress most of your stock components. like your cv's. they dont like being changed.

I'm pretty sure that kit isn't designed as a "lift" kit. I believe it's a spring replacement kit you might use on a lowrider or hot rod. So you can drop your ride in the weeds at shows and cruise-ins and then "lift" it for normal driving.

Unless you're happy with doing the front keys as a level, with new longer shocks, you'll need something along the lines of this as opposed to the airbag kit you posted.
