2002 Dodge Ram 1500 tire size problem
I'm looking to put some mudding tires on my ram I was told that 33in tires would fit perfectly without no rub but was looking to get a second opinion ? Also does anybody know where I could get FOG Lights for my ram
Omar, what size tires/rims are on it now? 33" tall should fit because that's the height of the stock tires that go with the optional 20" wheel package. It's the width you have to be careful with. Go too wide and you'd need some rims with negative offset to keep them from rubbing. I have 34's on mine, but I am leveled, with -12mm offset wheels. 305/70R17

Omar, click the link below and read up on tire and wheel fitment. Give more specifics about what size tires you are wanting to put on. Your truck came with 33" tall tires so if you get mud terrain tires in the same size, they will fit. If they are wider, you need to understand how wide you can go before you need to do something differently. A level would really only be needed for taller tires, looks, or if you expect to do things that require a lot more up/down wheel travel than normal. You can level the truck just by cranking up the torsion bars (google this and you will find plenty of info including youtube videos on how to do it). A front end alignment is recommended after doing that. If you aren't sure how wide the tires you want physically are, ask the tire dealer or go to the tire manufacturers website and look for the size/specs chart.
