Hello,

I am new to this forum.
My son owns a 2002 2500 with the 8ft bed. He wrecked it back in January. Ripped front axle loose. Rolled it into the oil pan put hole in it, broke the differential yoke, bent all the suspension links, busted the transmission bellhousing, tore the starter off, snapped the steering gear shaft, shoved the fenders back, questionable on the right side frame rail near the spring looks bent not sure. He found a 1997 2500 and was wondering if the cab off of his truck would fit on the 1997. Any advice would be helpful.

I guess any things possible. It's just how much work you want to do.i think you would better off finding another 02 truck to take parts off

 

Well...they are the same generation, so it is likely, but I would do a helluva lot of measuring, I think they might have changed a few things in 2000.

 

Methinks that will be a nightmare best avoided.
