Default 05 1500 swapping in a hemi

I bought an 06 1500 as a donor truck for my 05. My 4.7 died. I am swapping in the hemi from the 06. Does anyone know if I have to change the dash? I really don't want to

You may have to change a lot. The 2006 was the first year of the MDS, 2005 HEMIs did not offer it.

Will move you to the correct section to get better answers.

Also, the 06+ were CANbus sustems, whereas yours is a PCI bus, you may not get everything to communicate correctly. An 03-05 PCM/harness (05 being the best tunability) will integrate with your stock wiring better.

You'll need the sensors from an 03-05 Hemi. If you leave the MDS alone, it will just default to running all 8 cylinders at once
