Smile 2002 dodge ram 4.7 SLT

Whats up fellow dodge owners or anyone who knows anything about them. I want to make my truck faster to simply put it. It is 2WD, and pretty much bone stock. I was thinking of a new exhaust and cheap yet effective performance upgrades. Any input would be appreciated thanks

Cheap and effective do not usually go hand in hand, especially with Chrysler products.

Fast and truck don't usually go hand in hand either.

Your best bang for your buck with be a SCT or Superchips programmer. Hemifever (Sean) offers a good deal on the SCT programmers.

Trade it in for a hemi. There are some things you can do (cams, intake manifold, head work, gears, converter, etc) that would help, but you would be approaching the stock power on even a 3rd gen hemi. There's a wicked forced induction 4.7 build going on right now. Check out airram.com

hate the just buy a hemi bums but anyway

ok ill be real it can be done but will cost some cash but hell if you get in to it, it gets fun I beat hemi's and they ask how I made mine so fast and then they look funny when I say it a 4.7

with that said first on the list for a 4.7 is your gears you prob. have a 3.55 open and its best to go with 4.10 or 4.56 posi. depending on weather you put lots of driving miles on if worried about gas go 4.10.

form there are a few ways
e-fan worth about 10hp
free flowing exhaust lot of people like a 3inch single in out it is good up till you get bout 300+ rwhp (which will be awhile be for you get to that point)
cai
headers
cams(they are very hard to find now and most want top dollar however I know where there are a pair of 206s for sell now)
high flo-y the stock y suck
stall converter
heads
sct or other tune
performance underdrive pully
tb 70 or 72 must have a tune for either
