Undertray/Belly Pan - any manufacturers or DIY only?
I want to add a front undertray to my 04 1500 RWD, mainly to protect the wiring and engine bay from dirty water. Want to have a little more confidence when the roads get floody.
Is there anything on the market?

Wow, I'd guess this would be a job for a fabricator. Mounting points, vents all need to be carefully figured out. BTW, with a flooded road, this won't help much. It'll reduce the splash and smooth out the airflow under the truck.
I agree with mike. Regardless of the plate you put under there, 3 feet of water will still be 3 feet of water. All you'll do reduce splash like stated and then keep water in the engine bay since it won't be able to just fall out which may lead to what you want to prevent. You have to think these vehicles were designed with this stuff in mind and I wouldn't worry about shorting your electrics by driving thru some water
Also I agree with mike and 08 though, im not sure that it would actually provide much protection.
I don't think water running out will be a difficult problem to solve.
Biggest issue might be cooling but I don't think that will be difficult either (naca ducts plus only looking to cover the frontal area) mainly just trying to keep the splashing to a minimum, off the underhood wiring and belt drive. She's mine and I think just a simple glance at the wiring in the engine bay should lead anyone to conclude similar. I live in FL...with so much rain not sure if anyone else notices how quickly the engine bay dirties up (quicker than any car I've owned).
Thanks all, looks like its a DIYer
I'll post pics once I get around to it.

I'm in FL too (South Florida and Tampa to be exact) and I've never had an issue and I've hit some nasty puddles doing like 30. If you want to do for the piece of mind then by all means but just know it isn't necessary
