Default Just added steering wheel radio controls today.

My truck did not have radio controls on the steering wheel so I did some searching and found that they can be added. Turns out it is not that bad to do. I got a steering wheel from a 2002 caravan that had the switches and harness and added two wires made two holes in my steering wheel for the switches and that was it. Have there been any post on this forum about this when I searched I did not find any?

On the white connector the 2 wires you add are pin1 ground and pin2 5volts from the cluster

the gray connector is behind the cluster there are 2 gray connectors you have add a wire to the small one pin12

As you can see the first hole I made was too big and I broke the switch a little but it still works great. My steering wheel is not in the best shape any way so I will be replacing it at some point.

Did your clockspring have all the required pins? Sometimes if it wasn't original option there will be pins missing. I did this to my wife's Liberty and had to replace the clockspring so that it would work.

Yeah it had all of the pins. From what I read all rams use the same clock spring just the harnesses are diffrent. But I could be wrong on that.

So you did the controls behind the wheel, right? Because that's what I want/ have to do since I (and I assume all of us) only have the cruise control stuff on the front of the wheel
