Fixing ball joint angles
I am trying to get my lower ball joints back towards the stock angle with my 3" lift springs on my 2wd 06 ram.
Anyone have any ideas? I am thinking maybe get a piece of flat steel welded to the face of the spindle so the ball joint is pressed in higher up?

That sounds pretty questionable to me. I mean it would have to be a pretty pro job if I were to trust a setup like that...and even then youre creating a revised geometry that may weaken the overall setup...maybe custom lower control arms?

I'm not breaking anything it's just that because of my lower control arm angle now the lower ball joint boot is lift up about 1/4" so it won't hold grease long term and lets dirt get in there. I have to grease it once a week now.
Short of a custom control arm or using a revised front crossmember to correct the angles (if you do that youre gonna need the whole kit I dont think you can run just the crossmember).
Id look into the non-serviceable balljoints from Raybestos. The boot is attached so it may keep a seal with your current setup keeping the dirt and water out.
Can you take a pic so we can see how bad it is?

The stock ball joint works fine with my current set up, boot is plenty long enough. Its just the driver side which I replaced with a greasable one doesn't have enough boot there to drop all the way down and seal.
I guess I could just order an oem lower ball joint but I was hoping to convert to all serviceable parts.

Yes. Because they are non-serviceable the boot is wired onto the cylinder of the bj...also the design of the boot allows for more slack to allow for articulation of the joint.
The angle will still be wonky, only the lower portion of the boot wont pull off from the angle.
Also even though I havent tried them, Im sold on the raybestos design...also you might be able to find a serviceable bj with a wired on boot...my MOOG UCA bjs have the zerk and the boot is wired on. Worth some research.
