I'm trying to remove my sun visors and the visor retaining clip from 03 2500 so that I can install a Visor Shelf-it from Pace Edwards.

The Dodge Ram service manual from DC says to "..remove the three screws..". I've done that but it's still up there. The retainer side has no visible screws, so I know I need to pull it off.

My questions: Do I need to pull them straight down, or at an angle, or twist it one way or the other first? I don't really want to break anything and then have the headliner flopping around.

Anyone removed theirs?

Figured it out.

Yank hard enough, straight down, and out it comes. Was worried 'bout breaking something, but all's well.

 

Good for you. Sometimes brute force is the answer!
