Default Might be getting a new truck

It's been awhile since I've been on here but I might be trading in my 01. I've tried doing some searching but lately with work I really don't have the time to do much.

It's the 08 blue 1500. Overall when I looked it over its in great shape, all stock and what really caught my eye was its 6 speed. Every once in a blue moon I do some hauling with a car plus a car trailer, getting closer to winter I go cut firewood but that's pretty much all of the towing and hauling I do.

I'm just looking for some insight on this truck and hopefully on Tuesday I'll be the new owner if I get get him to come down in price a little.

I bought mine for 15,500, although mine had more miles and is a year older. But that price seems a bit high. See if they come down. Nice truck though.

why would you want to spend that much on a newer used truck. you could spend that money on you current truck.

If you seen my truck now you would understand. Plus with the amount of money I put into it this past summer and with how much it needs for inspection, I'm just tired of it.

The nada value shows that truck to be priced reasonably, but I can't help but agree it seems high. Trucks retain their value, but man paying 20 grand for a six year old truck is ouchie. If you could get it below 20 out the door I think that would be a good deal, that'd put you low 18's on the price. I don't know if they'd come that low, but it would be worth a shot. The manual transmission is sweeeeeet, that'd be worth a grand to me personally...

Looking through a quick autotrader search, what they are asking is not completely out of the ballpark of other dealers, but there are definitely plenty of trucks around that are less than 20 grand with roughly the same specs as the one you listed. If you are smitten with that particular one because of the manual, then id get as much out of the dealer as you can and buy it. Personally, for that money or just a teensy bit more, id get an 09, i think the newer styling is pretty sweet looking. I'm sure you would love whatever you end up with.

Here are some other trucks in your area (i think) just food for thought and comparison

it's a clean looking truck, but I would rather have a Hemi than the 4.7L. But, if you are dead set on a stick, then you are stuck with the 4.7L in a 1500.
