I have a 2004 2500 5.7 which is new for me. Its time for a rear break job. I need pads and rotors. When I took the tire off tonight and was looking at the rear rotor, I was confused weather it will come off once I remove the pads or do I have to remove the 8 smaller bolts and pull the axel?

 

You will not have to pull the axle. Once the caliper is off, the rotor should be free unless it is rusted to the hub which happens in northern states
