Default 4.7 EGR Valve delete

Just curious on the pros and cons on doing an egr delete on my 4.7. I don't have to worry about emission inspections so I'm covered there. When I installed my 08 intake manifold I had to make custom vacuum lines and it looks like a spider web, so if I can get the egr valve out of there I can make it look a lot better. Not to mention when I installed the 08 egr valve and flange tube it doesn't seal well in the intake manifold( I tried a used flange tube and a new oem one) and I think thats where my vacuum leak is coming from. I know its a pain to get to and it will throw a code which I can have removed via Hemifever. I know a lot of hemi guys do it for cosmetic and some performance. Moe's has the hemi blockoff plate and it looks like it may work or I could simply make one if it won't. Now what can I expect to gain or lose when doing this.

I simply welded mine closed just to see what it would do, the truck would stall out at random times during driving? So I drilled the weld out and its back to normal.. I'm getting ready to do a 8 throttle body and intake manifold on my 2006 was it a easy switch or any issues I should olan for ahead of time, I've located the manifold an throttle body for a couple hundred bucks w
Or possibly bore my stock throttle body out and just put on the manfold any suggestions and what kind of gains did t give you HP, throttle response, mpgs?

You wont be able to use the 08 TB bc its the drive by wire and ours is cable driven and you will need the tb adapters from airram. As for the intake manifold swap it wasnt too bad, you will need an 08 egr valve, and you will have to do some custom vacuum line work. You will have to remove the alt, remove or relocate the fuel rail, and a few other small things out of your way. It sits a little taller and there is no place that was convenient to mount the engine oil dipstick so i just zip tied mine to the intake manifold. If you have anymore questions please let me know.

Default Looking for block plate myself

Hello,. I have an 04 ram with the 4.7. my truck did not have an EGR valve at all. Had a damaged head so I bought a new set. The new set has the egr holes for mounting, but the old was solid(no holes). I think I might have to make a plate, but would rather buy one. Anyone find one?

I can make one if i can find an egr valve or gasket. I no longer own a 4.7 and got rid of all of my old parts.
