Default AC blower problems

Good morning...
To start off, I have a 2004 Dodge (dual passenger AC controls) 2500 Diesel. I have been experiencing blower problems. I understand that the problem can be caused by either in the ignition switch ($26.00), or the blower speed switch ($187.00) located in the center console.
History:
For the past few months I have had to rotate (round ****) the AC blower speed **** from high blower to low blower and back to get the blower to work. On occasion I have had to do this a number of times. I have not had to mess with the ignition switch. At present, the blower is operating on low only.

Thank you for your assistance in advance
Ron

I would be willing to bet it's the blower speed switch. Unfortunately, your truck isn't very common so a junkyard part might be out of the question. Hopefully someone with the dual zone A/C will chime in soon.

I'm thinking the same. Price is not the factor... both parts are available aftermarket, although both are Mopar parts. I really don't want to buy the incorrect one then have to get the other. I already went through it with the blower fan, replaced it, come to find a piece of the blend/recirculating door shaft broke off and rattled in the cage. Now I have a spare blower fan.

It really sounds like a blower switch to me as it seems to be sticking. If it was just working on high, I would say it was the blower motor resistor block, but it's not.

I would double check to see that the door isnt blocking the blower. Take the blower off & reach up there. If you found parts of the door, it may be blacking air flow. In that case you may just need a new door.

Blend door was replaced. Fan motor is only on low. Ordered part, in today. Will let all know what was wrong.
