So, they changed the body style on the 2006 ram?
I've seen pics, but not sure if they're authentic. I figured they would wait at least a few more years until they revamped the Ram because from '94-'01 there was virtually no change. The current Ram has only been out 4 years. I was actually thinking of selling my R/T Dakota and buying an '03 or '04 hemi Ram, but now the truck would feel obsolete if they already have a new model out. Anyone with more info? Thanks.

It's ironic that I made this post today because I actually saw one at school tonight. I heard nothing about the change until now and I'm surprised. I'm not sure what to do now that they have a new model out. I definitely can't afford a new one right now and I was just about set on an '03 or '04 model. Hmmm....
Welcome to market pressure!
When I ordered our '05, based in part on the f'ugly pix of the '06 I saw on-line, our dealer had no idea that the Ram was to change. So, you were not alone. But, don't feel smug, my dealer doesn't know much of anything about his own products--never has and probably never will.[:@]
All the best, whatever you opt for.

I was in the dealer the other day and they had an 06 1500 Mega cab Laramie on the floor. I got to looking (drooling) at it and realized that it has a SOLID axle up front. I almost traded mine in on the spot. It's about time Dodge realizes that the IFS is crap!. Plus lift kits will be cheaper too

06 also revamped the interior a bit as well, I actually like it a little bettet, its actually a bit classier. Also they reduced the glare from the 05 dash, with a new style dash for 06. The changes on the outside don't look as drastic as I have seen in some pics. At first I hated the new look, but the more I see it, the more I like it. I am also soooo damn close on just sucking it up and buying one. Anyone know if they have any 06 incentives yet?? Or are they still pushing the 05's?
Aviator:
IFS is hardly inappropriate in ALL trucks. It depends on the IFS design and how the vehicle is to be used.
Personally, I'd never have use for a solid front axle, in anything, not wishing to take the hit in street handling. If I did need such, I'd have kept my last Studebaker truck.[sm=icon_rofl.gif] Similar engineering!
