No A/C HELP
So just putting key in the ignition, or putting in and turning?
This is backwards, as you would normally have to put the key in and turn to get power to the blower via the ignition switch. Has anyone done any work to the truck or electrical system lately. I mean anything......if not look at a schematic of the ac system in particular where the ignition is and switched power. Sounds to me like something is shorted right in this area, or possibly something internally wrong in your ignition switch.

Release the steering column, pull keys out so blower runs, move steering column up and down, listen for fan to start and stop running. Its possible you have a wire worn through in the steering column and its grounding out or cross connecting with the blower circuit.
