hey so last weekend i was driving home and the steering shaft on my 06 cummins broke at 50-60mph and i rolled it and the body is crushed i bought the truck back for a steal of a deal from the insurance and was looking at complete bodies for my crew cab long bed i have a 6 inch lift 18s 35s ext but was wounder how hard it would be to just go buy a cheap 98+ dodge extra cab long bed and put my motor trans axles lift wheels tires 6 speed swap ext into any ideas would help great im wanting to post some pics through out the build and have ppl help me alone the way to make this as easy for me as posiable lol thanks will post some pics soon of the dodge how it sits pretty much i had to cut the doors and roof off so far

 

Two totally different platforms. You'd play hell getting everything to work right.

 

The 2nd gen Ram is rather receptive to other Dodge/Cummins stuff, so I don't see how it wouldn't work. But it definitely wouldn't be drop-in unlike the Cummins around the same period.

 

been doing alot of searching and talking to ppl throught the weekend about all of it and there are so many kits ext to just bolt the motor to and drop it in. well in theory but never really goes as planned. so now just looking for a v10 2nd gen with no motor or with a blown motor trans ext
