Default A/C compressor

Hi, I have a 2000 dodge ram and I got the air recharged but a couple days later it was gone. I was wondering if it could be the compressor and how could I tell if the compressor is bad???

Sounds more like a leak in the system; you could take it back to the shop and have them check the pressure again to see if it lost some.

Ok. I had it at the shop once and they guy put dye in it and told me he didn't see any leaks but the air was only cold for about a couple of days. Is there a way to stop a leak without replacing the whole A/C system?

The leak may be in the evaporator or somewhere else that can't be seen easily. The shop that serviced the system should have documented the pressure and could compare what it is now to when they finished servicing. If it is significantly lower then there would have to be a leak somewhere.

To repair a leak you find it and replace that part not the whole A/C system.
