Default How to tell HO 4.7 cams different from stock cams

Hey guys..This is how you can tell the difference from the Ho cams and the stockers without worrying about the part Numbers.Sometimes the part numbers etched in the cams are different then the numbers posted all over the place..These are the numbers I found everywhere(53021411 and 53021412)..Numbers on mine are 1414AB and 1413C..Hope this helps someone.

That will vary greatly but if everything else stays stock and you don't port & polish the heads or do a 5-angle valve job, then I'd assume you would be close to the same HP/TQ as a vehicle that has the HO engine....

No problem with the Pics...The HO cams have a bigger Intake lobe..Exhaust lobe is the same..I will tell you like this..If you can find the HO cams get them. They will make a difference...And if you do get them get a 08 4.7 intake manifold and 70mm throttle body...You will have a Nice running 4.7 with this setup....Ho cams=15-30HP.. 08 intake manifold=20-30HP...Somewhere around those numbers..

Cams for the 4.7...You have to find the High output cams out of a 02-04 jeep grand Cherokee overland...When you find them you can use them or send them into comp cams and have them do a 206 regrind..The Ho cams are the only option of date unless you find someone selling some that they bought back in the day...It sucks I know..But they are out there you just have to find them..If you want more power out of your 4.7 there is other stuff..Gearing is a big one..I just did 4.56's and it made a big difference..I promise..I love um...!!..As far as cams though you have to hunt bro..Is a big world you just have to look in the right place..I bet somebody has a brand new set they are just sitting on for god knows why in their garage..LOL.Wish they would post um for sale!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
