Default 2008 4.7 Gas Tank Swap 26-34g, Does Flex fuel matter?

Looking to swap my 26g tank to the 34g tank. I know it can be done as far as chassis goes but I am curious about the Flex Fuel side of things.

Looking at the dodge parts online the flex vs non flex tanks are marked differently. If I buy just the regular 34g Gasoline tank will my truck having the flex 4.7 engine matter? Are the tanks actually different?

I am assuming they are not based on this train of logic....

Dodge offers 3 tanks, 26 gas, 34 gas, and 35 diesel.
the hemi engine can use the 26 or the 34
so it stands to reason that the 26g tank in the flex trucks doesnt have extra hoses or anything keeping it from working in the 5.7 hemi
therefor the 34 found in the hemi should work in the flex..... hopefully?

Thanks
Adam

I'd be safe and get the Flex Fuel version if you have a flex fuel engine... just my $.02 though. Good Luck.

Don't forget to post tons of pictures of the install!

I think the tank construction is different. You definitely want to verify before you go through with it.
