Is there a way to reuse the valve cover gasket?

I have to keep putting the rocker arms back on, and when I remove the valve cover, the gasket is now too big to fit. It fit fine when I put it on two weeks ago.

Is there a caulk that could be used in place of the gasket?

 

What engine do you have? I have always just reused the ones on my hemi.

It seems that the gasket grows about a half inch when I take it out of the cover.

I've got it sitting in the freezer now, just as a thought...
