i just bought an 08 2500 cummins and i know a little about the problems with the egr/dpf systems that have happened. i know it started in 07, will my 08 engine be ruined if i don't egr/dpf delete? i mainly drive highway, no towing, im at 54k miles

These systems will not ruin an engine. They do however cause problems, the 5.9 cummins did not have. Mainly emissions related.

delete it!! my buddy has a 08 6.7 mega cab dually and he did the egr/pdf/ deletes a 4inch mbrp exhaust and a H&S tuner and he averages 22.7 miles per gallon highway

Delete kits are getting hard to find. Its also against the law. Some dealerships will give you a hard time, if you need warranty work.

Ditch the damn 6.7 and buy a 2nd gen or an early CR Cummins.

the deletes are not hard to find, its the tuner to reprogram the truck is getting hard to find. the 6.7 tuned and deleted is a fantastic motor, and comon rail is the way to go.
