Default 4.7L (N) Head Gasket...knew it was comin...ugh!

So, as the title suggests, yes the head gasket(s) finally failed. I knew it was a common problem and luckily happened 2 days after a 3900mi road trip.

First, could someone please point me in the right direction for determining Timing Chain Set? I believe it is the JTEC. Is sprocket replacement necessary?

Second, i'm looking to fix/replace only what is needed and not looking to hot rod the thing. Unless AirRam can convince me otherwise, but the budget is tight on this one.

With that said, any advice fellow members can give for performing this job will be greatly appreciated. Especially the hints/tips/tricks, even a link to something that's already been posted. My search turned up nothing useful, i'm not sure it's working right for me.

Thank you in advance ladies & gents.

This is where I got all my parts for my 4.7 HO (Grand Cherokee) rebuild. They will sell whole kits or individual parts. Great prices, service...

Decided to let my good friend and business assoc. take on the job. Discounted labor and I get parts at cost thru my company.

But this gets me thinking about a 4.7 build for future install...hmmm
