I'm just wondering about this out of curiosity mostly, My truck is on it's last legs so I'm sort of looking around for a new one.

Since I have a truck that has some good parts, like a transmission and transfer case, I'm hoping to be able to "lower my standards" a bit and consider vehicles that may not have a functional transmission.

This obviously only applies though if the transmission I have would bolt up to the truck I would want to buy, which would be a 5.7 4x4, 2003 to 2005.

 

545RFE should be interchangeable as long as both trucks used the same tranny.

 

As long as your 02 trans was hooked to a 4.7, then yes. If it was a 360, then no.
