Default Wideband sensor placement?

I just got a AEM wideband in. Now i need to find out whats the best location to install the bung on my 2006 Ram 4.7L. I've been told it needs to be before the cat at least 18" from the last exhaust port, then i've been told at the y-pipe where both banks run into each other. Here's my deal, i have no cats but do plan to reinstall them later. It looks like i CAN install the sensor on the opposite side of the 1st sensor on the passenger side without any interference with anything. I just wanted to check with you guys first. Where would i get my most accurate reading?

Also i have a diablo sport trinity. Is there anyway i can integrate the wideband and the trinity so i can data log my A/F on the trinity instead of recording with a camera. If not its no big deal.

Thanks

Anywhere before the first OEM O2. The bung must also be between 10 and 2 o'clock so the O2 tip doesn't get any moisture on t

I have mine right after my header collector and before the stock 02 sensor on the passenger side at 2 o'clock.I too have a trinity and the trinity specific cable for analog input of the wideband to the trinity but have yet to install it. You can get the part number on diablosports website and search for it cheaper, I think I got mine from summit racing.

You did not need a specific cable. Any stereo 3.5mm cord will work. I bought a 6ft extension cable off eBay and used it

I tried a 3.5mm cord but it didn't fit, it's a tad too big. It looks like it may be a 2.5mm plug.

You are correct. I happened to have looked at mine today on the dash and seen that too. 2.5mm is correct but still $2-5 on avg on eBay depending on the length you want it
