Default Drive Shaft U Joint

Folks,

I've got an 05 Ram 2500 5.9L Diesel that needed the center u joint on the drive shaft replaced. Had to torch out the old one (original with 189,000 + miles on it) so I didn't have an example to compare the new replacement with. I bought a MOOG 295A as a replacement and have 3 of the cups in with no issues. The 4th cup will go in just a bit below flush of the yoke but not seat deep enough to allow the retainer clip to go in the groove. It appears to be about 1/10th of an inch too "high". Has anyone had any experience with MOOG u joints causing this problem and if so any suggestions of how to get the 4th cup to seat would be greatly appreciated. I plan to replace the other two u joints as well but don't want to get into them until I figure how to solve this issue. Gotta get her going so I can get to work tomorrow. Thanks in advance for any help.

sounds like maybe a needle bearing maybe holding it up? or it needs alittle more love to get that last one in place.

+1 on the needle bearing, One of those little bearings can fall out of place even when everything seems to be going right. Carefully remove the bearing cup or cups and take a look.
