Default platinum spark plugs versus copper

I had a friend to tell me that I should not under any circumstance use platinum plugs in my 05 dodge ram 1500 hemi engine. He said something about it making the engine run hotter. Is there any truth to this and If so what is the absolute best plug to use for power and gas mileage?

16 plugs in a hemi. platinum plugs work like any other plug, I have 0 issues with the nkg platinum plugs in my hemi, how ever I'm running a colder plug than the champion copper plugs.

cooper champions in my hemi are very in expensive, but not long lasting, after 40,000 km performance and mileage drops.

srt hemis use platinum plugs or I have been lied too one line when I bought my platinum plugs.

my reasoning for trying platinum plugs is my truck is off warranty, I hate changing the plugs my self and the labor from a dealer to replace the copper plugs paid for the platinum plugs.

if you still under warranty stay with the coppers, 16x plugs gets expensive when you go with Platt plugs.

Platinums retard the ignition timing a bit.

Yeah I was surprised when the manual said you need to change them every 30k or so. I'm use to plugs that are suppose to last up to 100k (suppose to). But I hate to try the platinums and mess something up.

Old man with a hemi runs them.
He likes them. Do what you wish, if your truck doesn't like them, believe me, it WILL tell you about it. lol

The change interval remains- would you rather spend $80 or $30?
