Lowering my '05 hemi 4 door
I just bought an '05 Ram 1500 2 wheel drive hemi 4 door big horn edition and it sits pretty high stock. I have been researching about lowering it but wanted to hear your guy's opinions on how i should go about it. I plan on buying new coils for the front and the leaf spring flip kit for the rear. this seems like the most popular way to lower the truck. does anyone have any pictures of their lowered trucks? did you guys lower your trucks a different way? my goal is to take all that space out between the tires and fenders, not to put the body of the truck on the ground. thanks for your help and info.....

get a ground force kit, it retails for about $575, i believe it is a 2/4 or a 3/5 drop, i've seen a couple new rams with this kit on them and they look bad ***, i know i'm deffinitly getting one when i come up with the money

they have the 2-4.5 kit, but I have been reading over on DTW that a couple guys with 4x4's have went with the 4x2 kit that is the 4-6 drop.
I myself am thinking of doing the 4-6. I measured today and the front from wheelwell to ground I have 37" in front and 40" in rear, space between the tire and the wheelwell is front 6" and rear 8"---doing a 2-4.5 kit would be cool but I want the 4-6 to put both tires 2"s from the wheelwell. kinda like my shioty photoshop.

I'm in the same boat as you, I'm wanting to drop mine about 2/4 and was looking at the belltech kit with the Nitro Active shocks. Just something to look into

We went with the DJM 2/4 Kit. I've heard that you can't have the 3/5 kit if you have the 20 inch rims because you won't clear...something to think about. The only problem we had with our so far is on the front shocks the rubber came out. I think that was more of an installation issue though....
Here is a pic of ours..
