Default Help - replace cat 06 1500 5.7L direct fit

Anyone know where I can find a direct fit catalytic converter for a 2006 Ram 1500 Sport 5.7L 4x4, driver side? Would Catco part 9169 fit?

http://www.summitracing.com/parts/ct...model/ram-1500

Old cat is shot and I'd like to replace it myself but I don't weld.

Thanks in advance for any advice!

Emissions systems have a 10yr warranty. You would have to take it to a dealer. But if it failed because of a defect it would be replaced free. Try rockauto if not

Was not aware of this and will follow up with dealer. Looked into it on Rams website and found a warranty brochure that reads it may possibly be covered under 8yr/80,000mile warranty.

However, I'm in MN and we don't have emissions testing so I haven't failed one. Hopefully that doesn't work against me. Thanks for help.

Check with your Dealership it might be covered for free... Emissions are Federally Regulated it is just the State's Job to enforce if they want to....

Thanks to P38251 and Izero for enlightening me on the Federal Emissions warranty. I found that the warranty was 8 year or 80k miles.

Went to local dealer, they inspected it, found cat was toast, ordered the Y-pipe with both cats and replaced it at no-cost.

Whole process was 2 trips to the dealer and about a week between inspection and replacement. It worked out for me. Dummy light has been off for 3+ weeks. YEAH!
