Default Benefits of Reseting the ECU

I have heard that the truck learns your driving habbits and adjusts to your mods. Since i just got my magnaflow installed i was wondering if i should reset the ECU in order for the truck to adjust to the changes, or should i leave it as it is.
Or can someone tell me the benefits and drawbacks if any to doing this reset.
Thanks Fellas.

You should not have to reset the ECU for an exhaust change. If any recalibrations are needed the ECU will remap on its own

How about if you're going to pull a TT? Can you still reset the ECU by disconnecting the battery for XX seconds?
